"The idea developed organically," he shares. "Berlin spoils you with endless clubbing possibilities. I wanted to freeze this culture before it changed yet again."
And this is the part most people miss... Noltekuhmann's subjects are diverse, ranging from DJs and musicians to scientists and architects. He believes Berlin's beauty lies in its inclusivity, where everyone, regardless of background, enjoys a night out.

Noltekuhmann's choice of Kodak Portra 400 film was intentional, capturing smooth skin tones and a warm, natural feel. He believes analog cameras bring out a different energy, making each frame precious.
"The Mamiya RZ67 is a diva," he jokes, explaining the challenges of post-production. But the results are worth it, with a unified look across the entire series.
Despite his success as a commercial photographer, Noltekuhmann stays true to his analog roots. He brings an analog camera on commercial shoots, using it as a visual reference tool.
"Shooting on film is tricky, but clients love the analog feel," he says.
Berlin's clubs have always been a haven for outsiders and creatives, offering a space where freedom and expression are celebrated. Noltekuhmann's work captures this spirit, reminding us of the fragility of such freedoms in other parts of the world.
